Hello, I’m Laura

Laura is a poet, stay-at-home mum, and carer based in Hertfordshire, UK. With a heart for human flourishing, and lived experience of chronic illness, she is passionate about journeying alongside people; providing safe spaces where they feel truly seen, heard and valued. Her first poetry collection, Beyond the Dark, was published in 2023.

Her writing and poems are often a deep dive into the human experience- the struggles and mess, the joys, profound questions, and ever-present yearning for connection. Laura’s gentle, wise, compassionate voice doesn’t shy away from difficult conversations or uncomfortable truths, provoking readers to reflect whilst simultaneously offering comfort and companionship.

When not writing or ferrying her kids around, she can be found walking in nature, browsing second-hand bookshops, having deep conversations with friends, and drinking tea (preferably with a slice of cake).
